2014XC: Day 39, July 20 – Mountwood Park, West Virginia to Mohrsville, Pennsylvania
For the only morning of the entire trip, the boys were up before us, even before Steve, and woke us up to get on the road. It was sightly overcast – patchy, and warm but pleasant. We took our last cross country family picture and left the campground…
In the truck, Morgan tried to turn on his iPod – the one that went swimming back in Lake Jackson and has spent the entire trip since then on the dashboard. To all of our surprise, but most to him, it began to work…
It’s been touch and go with taking a charge, but at least it’s barely breathing.
Made it to Maryland, and hit our last rest stop. It was high on a hill with a good view of a lake. It was our last rest stop and rest-stop-lunch in the camper.
And shortly thereafter, we entered Pennsylvania ending our first cross country family trip.
How bittersweet. I feel like we were just leaving! I guess indeed time flies when you are having fun.
Thank God for safe travel and a beautiful time. Hope this will be the first of many. Thanks for keeping up! 🙂
