2016XC: Day 18, July 2 – Waskom, Texas to Vicksburg, Mississippi
CampSites: Miss Ellie’s RV Park –to– Ameristar RV Park
We left Miss Ellie’s and headed still towards Tennessee.
On our way to a middle-point for a campsite in our daily travels, we saw a sign for a “Coca-Cola Museum”, so we stopped to check it out.
The museum was actually in the back of a small store, perhaps originally a soda shoppe. Tyler enjoyed it the most, being a fan. We left the store and walked a bit around town. It was really quaint and cute, and was right on the Mississippi River.
The steamboat was actually part of another museum, but it was closed. That seems to be the only downside to this spontaneous, impromptu sightseeing. When we returned to the truck to head towards our next campsite location, we found a closer campsite on the GPS, just up the road. It was late anyway, so we decided to stop and check it out.
Turns out it was cheap, easy, clean, and had a pool – BONUS!
Onwards to Alabama tomorrow….
