2016XC: Day 3, June 17 – Lancaster, South Carolina

CampSite:  Andrew Jackson State Park

It was a beautiful day for an amusement park!   Carowinds Amusement Park sits on the border of North Carolina and South Carolina.  Steve dropped us off at the park so he could finish up the camper.  He’s not a big fan of rides anyway, but we did miss him until he was able to meet up with us later in the evening.  We started at the water park – they had slides, a lazy river, and two wave pools.  Afterwards we ventured into the park to hit the rides.  Christian decided to “go big or go home” and choose this for his first ever coaster ride…

And while I was on the ground, fretting and worrying, he was having the best time on it. Love that about him.  there was just about no stopping him after that.  We rode this one together…
