2016XC: Day 7, June 21 – New Orleans, Louisiana

CampSite: Ponchatrain Landing Marina & RV, New Orleans, Louisiana

So Steve left early this morning for the conference he was speaking at, and the kids and I were on our own. After breakfast, we hit the pool until lunch. We shared mozzarella sticks and loaded fries for lunch at the “Lighthouse Restaurant” for lunch, then back to the pool and the hot tub. One thing that was kind of cool was that I was able to do some laundry while hanging in the pool and the hot tub with the kids!

The time flew by, and Steve was back!  So we headed over to downtown New Orleans to get some dinner and see the city.  I personally was looking forward to it, just because I generally enjoy walking in a city – Steve and I spent lots of time when we were dating just walking in NYC.  After we parked in a building in New Orleans, we headed for Bourbon Street.

So the first pic I took, the one above, is right after we left the parking garage….and the next picture is where we ate dinner, at Big Pie Pizza just before we left the city that night.  I didn’t take any pictures between those two.  Walking through Bourbon Street with my husband and four sons was bad enough, and I’d rather just not have any photograph memories of it!

It was a good day anyway.  Tomorrow, continuing on through Louisiana!
